CX25853 is the very first 8 channel video decoder in the world. User allows capturing and recording multiple analog video inputs. This high channel-density reference design consists of industry-standard PCI Express (PCI-e) interface, which ensures cost-effective and high flexibility video capture on PCs or other consumer electronics devices. Conexant’s CX25853 features a high-density architecture that is capable of lowering the costs of each channel by 35%. In comparison with 2 separate four-channel devices, CX25853 helps to reduce significant board space requirements. This device includes 8 surveillance related features, such as: high quality video decoder with the ability to lock-on low-level video signal. Other product features also include horizontal and vertical scaling, as well as color, brightness, saturation, and contrast control etc.

Conexant together with STRETCH are introducing the developed video surveillance solution, which features comprise PC architecture, as the based instant digital video recording and the advanced H.264 compression function. The compression function is the product of Stretch Inc- S6100 and S6105 solution that are capable of instantly compressing the D-1 video into of Conexant’s 8 channels decoder into H.246 steams; meantime, conducting video pre-processing and analytics functions, D-1, in particular, is a full-resolution digital video standard; whereas, H.264 is an advanced video decoding compression standard. The two processors of Stretch Inc. comprise an Array Interface Module (AIM) that enables the devices to smoothly communicate with each other at high speed.
